brownsco

Its Christmas and New Year season, the season of shopping lists and budgets. Check out brownsco, an affordable gift-shop on etsy. In their own words-

" We are a husband and wife artist team. I work with wood, chalkware, clay and papier mache. My wife works with dried, fresh and artificial flowers and hypertufa. These creative passions led us in 2008 to start Brown’s Country Originals. The name came from our one of kind work, living in the country and our last name. Besides the paper mache and chalkware we have a line of garden items my wife makes country/primitive hypertufa birdbaths, flower planters and flower pots. Hypertufa is a lite weight concrete. I make country/primitive wooden potting benches, planter and garden stakes."

MoveMe

So, this post has nothing to do with etsy or fashion or anything remotely familiar to this blog. But, it is related to something much more important. LIFE. You know when you have been living in a place for quite a while, familiar with everything about it and then suddenly you are made to move. Adding to you tensions is the tension of moving all your stuff from one place to another. I have found a company that could provide a solution for all your moving problems. MoveMe. They will not only help to plan organise the big move, but also help you with conveyancing. They provide free conveyancing quote. After that, you don't even need to worry about your phone connection and gas&Electricity bills. MoveMe takes care of all that. And much more. They have a very comprehensive checklist, which cover essential aspects from 6-8 weeks before you move in to the very first day in your new home. They have guides for those moving with children or pets and also for those moving with disablities.
There's also a page for first-time buyers. For all the newbies out there, moving can be quite unnerving and i am guessing they will find this very useful. This site takes the hassle out of moving so that you can sit back and relax. Plan and organise the move, get local removal quotes, cheap conveyancing, tranfer your utilities like broadband and phone connection without any headaches. Sounds too good to be true, right. I thought so too, but it all looks legit to me! Check for yourself if you don't wanna trust my judgement. Their customers have left such strongly posotive feedbacks that I am sure this site is just the perfect solution to moving problems. Do let me know how MoveMe works for you!

factorygirlashli : Feature + Giveaway

Meet factorygirlashli - an extremely adorable and cute shop on etsy. All necklaces are packaged by them in cute little gift boxes which is even listed in The Factory. Pink items in her shop are raising money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. For every item sold, she donates $1 to help the fight. Also, you will receive a $1 off coupon for a future purchase. So, purchase great pieces at affordable prices and make your contribution to an even greater cause. How perfect is that!

In her own words-
" My name is Ashli. I am the "factory girl" in factorygirlashli. I chose my name because my philosophy in life has been influenced a ridiculous amount by the pop artist Andy Warhol. We share a love for McDonalds and common things and love to see the beauty in everything and everyone. However, he was more of a philosophical guide than an artistic one. My style of work is nothing like Warhol's. I have a more vintage, rustic, whimsical feel. I love working with antiqued brass, glass beads, czech flowers, and chiffon. My favorite things to create are necklaces, greeting cards, and hair blossoms. I like to help everyone see the beauty in themselves and feel beautiful when they are wearing something special and unique from The Factory."

HangingHeads

Let's introduce you to Hanging Heads - an incredibly unique and colorful new shop on etsy.

In their own words-
"
I began making sugar skulls about three years ago to give to family and friends and to sell at craft fairs. Having lived my entire life in the American Southwest, i find a lot of inspiration in American Indian beading and weaving designs, and from the color and flamboyance of the Mexican-Chicano culture out of which sugar skulls (also known as calaveras) are based. I decided to open my very own etsy shop after hearing from other sellers about how fun the atmosphere is. I've not been disappointed! Currently my shop only carries sugar skull ornaments, but i'm working on a line of skull-and-crossbones ornaments, shrunken head ornaments, and sugar skull accessories. my skulls are all one-of-a-kind and i never use a pattern or the same design twice. My skulls make great gifts, party favors, ornaments (of course), gifts for hosts, halloween handouts, or keychains.

I adore bringing into being the quirky and the curious, be it through yarn, charcoal, felt, clay, or any other medium i can get my little paws on. My creations tend to reflect the color and imagination i encounter in daily life, as well as in my own head. "

It's From Arizona: Feature + Giveaway

Another fun shop feature and giveaway coming up for you. When i came across It's From Arizona i was taken aback by their delicious-looking, scrumptious bath and body products. But, roaming through their aisles, i was introduced to a whole new world of gorgeous accessories and pieces. So first, let's hear what Monica, the woman behind this lovely shop has to say

My name is Monica, and I've been working with hemp since I was little. My mom would buy me the kits from Walmart with just enough materials to create a 1 necklace. I would craft them on long road trips and when I was looking for something to do around the house. I have another job at our local Aeropostale clothing store, where I came up with the idea to upcycle leather belts. They go on clearance, brand new, for like $1.35 so I couldn't help but buy them all. Now I'm cutting them up and stitching them with hemp to make really cute bracelet cuffs. I recently began working with soap and learning ALL about hand crafting bath and body products. It's so fun, and I can't stop! I've lived in Arizona practically all my life. My city is the hottest city in the country, and I've experienced first hand all the beauty and secrets of the desert. It truly is an amazing place...so that struck the theme of my shop, It's From Arizona. There you will find all the things that I love crafting - from hemp and leather jewelry, to soap. "

Now, for a quick tour of her shop. Let's start with my fav.- the Soap and Body Product  section.

I bet you are already drooling. Now, off to the hemp pieces.

or some hemp goodness for your canine mate......

And last, but not the least is the funky yet chic Leather upcycled cuffs in various designs.

and Monica has generously offered to giveaway a gorgeous Skinny Leather Upcycled Cuff worth $9.00 to one of our lucky readers.

75" wide, 7.75" in length (fastened). Hand stitched white hemp thread with teal buttons on dark brown pliable leather. Unique stitching features throughout the cuff. This cuff is $9.00.
